And on abandoned buildings.... The buildings you see in these two pictures are left over from Soviet times. The one above hosts a hotel in the background that was never finished and has been there for over twenty years. Somehow, there was never enough money to finish construction which happened to many structures during this time. The one below was finished and put to use, however, as you can see...this is no longer the case and isn't the only building to host barbed wire!
Gypsy Houses
The buildings you see here are known to have been inhabited by gypsies (a not all too favored band of peoples in Russia). For whatever reason the building was vacated it is no longer lived in (so far as people know). Squatting is typical where possible. Immediately after its vacancy the premises were searched and a large number of bags with human hair in them were found. Interesting right?
